We are proud to say we are the daughters of two wonderful
parents. As children, we had instilled in us the importance of
family, hard work, love of country and giving to others.
Our father was a World War II veteran that fought in the European
Theatre and the Battle of the Bulge. Today, we continue to support
the veteran’s groups that our father was affiliated with. Growing
up, our mother was the traditional “stay at home Mom.” She kept
an immaculate house and had a passion for antiquing. Collecting
antique dishes and fine English bone china teacups were two of the
collections she adored most. What our parents were all about lives
on in the two of us.
As elementary school teachers, making a difference in children’s
lives has been our aspiration. We have tried to incorporate the
things we love into our everyday teaching.
We were inspired with the love for cooking at an early age. Our
father was Armenian and our mother was Spanish. As a result,
family recipes from these two cultures were in abundance.
Throughout our travels within our great country, we have also
incorporated delicious recipes from the regions we love into this
cookbook.
We take pleasure in cooking and entertaining in a grand style
incorporating antiques, beautiful linens and delicious menus.
Between our family homes in central Massachusetts and our home
on Cape Cod, we have enjoyed sharing our culinary talents and
flare for entertaining in these two unique settings with family and
friends.
Being sustaining members of the Junior League of Worcester in
Worcester, Massachusetts and bell ringers for the Salvation Army
are community services to which we are committed.
A very important cause of ours is to support Melanoma research.
Our dear Mother passed away from Melanoma. It is our desire to
contribute some of the proceeds of this cookbook to the research
and development of new ways in treating, prolonging the life of its
victims and ultimately finding a cure for this disease.
